Congratulations Hervey Bay... but having now beaten the Gold Coast and seeing the EoI for the first time, the next question everyone is asking is how...?
How could the Government pick the Fraser Coast over the Gold Coast?
The numbers just do not stack up. The location and access pale in comparison to the Gold Coast. The dive and tourism support infrastructure is virtually non-existent.
Something is very strange about this decision. Dive Tourism experts say NO - this will not deliver the Tobruk's Legacy to it's full potential.
We are calling for a renewed show of support to find out how this decision has really come about.
